THINGS TO PAY ATTENTION TO...

Leaf amount -

Start with a good pinch

The bigger the vessel, the more leaves

Steep times -

Longer steeps for bigger vessels

Color of tea -

A good way to judge its strength next time

Taste of tea -

This is how you get to know the tea

Make adjustments & improve with each brew

MAKING ADJUSTMENTS

If it's too weak -

Add more tea leaves

Longer steeps

Increase water temperature

If it's too strong -

Reduce tea leaves

Shorter steeps

Reduce water temperature

If it's too bitter/astringent -

Using leaf scraps could make some teas bitter and astringent

Over-steeping can make some teas bitter and astringent
